iPhone Video Converter 2010 is a video converter for the iPhone. It does a horrible job of converting video files for playback on iOS devices such as the iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad. The application supposedly accepts a wide arrange of input files, and it can convert files to MPEG-4 and H.264.
In my testing, I used one MKV file, one AVI file, and one FLV file to test this app thoroughly. The MKV file was accepted with no problems. I choose H.264 as the output format and the best quality available. The conversion went fine, but the converted file was out of sync. The quality of the video was fine, but not excellent, the sound was so out of sync and it sounded so bad, that the video was unwatchable. The FLV file showed a different behavior. The application started converting it but finished abruptly. The result was a 0KB file and no error code. The AVI file was in sync. In that case, I used MPEG-4. The quality of the video was average, even though I had used the best quality available.
All in all, iPhone Video Converter 2010 might be easy to use, but it doesn't have a great format support nor advanced conversion settings. It only successfully converted 1 out of the 3 files I tried it with.
